Witthinrich GmbH emerged from the ENERGIE Group (now known as ALPINE-ENERGIE) founded in 1920. It was a well-known installation company for overhead lines up to 380 kV and for mobile radio systems. The ENERGIE Group had also made a name for itself as a supplier of materials for electrical distribution networks in the 1–380 kV voltage classes. Its philosophy of cooperating with renowned European manufacturers in every product area has led to trusting partnerships with many energy supply companies and other partners in the field of energy distribution. This partnership has been expanded and deepened in recent years as part of a takeover of this division in 1998 and the founding of today's Witthinrich GmbH in Potsdam. By taking over PFISTERER's ISO division with accessories for insulated overhead lines, Witthinrich GmbH has grown into a new dimension as a manufacturing company.
